About Us

Established in 1996

TAAGS provides genealogical services for families and conducts historical research uncovering "hidden history".

Our Membership

Members of TAAGS meet on the First Saturday of March, June, September and December. Beginner-to-expert family tree researchers come together to learn, share, teach and encourage the pursuit of knowledge of self and family.

Annual dues are $25

The meeting place is the

African American Museum of Nassau County,

110 North Franklin Street, Hempstead,

NY 11550.

Between meetings genealogical consultations are available, by appointment.

For further information call us at 516-572-0730.

We believe...

You are the expression of the Present, the result of the Past, the foundation of the Future. In order to understand yourself, you must first understand the ancestors upon whose lives yours is founded. Genealogy is your gateway to the past, our goal is to guide you there.
